![]() ![]() Might end up keeping it just to play here and there and record with. I am actually considering selling my Jupiter X because, while it sounds, looks, and feels awesome, I actually don"t use it as much as all of my other keyboards. FA"s pad mode is also useful for triggering sound combos. Also, the FA has a LARGER edit screen than the tiny one of the Jupiter X. And the 6 knobs the FA has are actually very useful and easy to get used to. Of course the Jupiter has the analog models and the Zen Core sounds but the FA synthesis uses 3 partials and has supernatural synth sounds as well as supernatural piano. And most of the same sound set ( from the XV5080) is on the FA same as Jupiter X. The synthesizer Roland Fantom 7 is usually 70 more expensive than Korg Kronos 88. ![]() 5 Where to buy the synthesizer Roland Fantom 7. Both models have a touch screen, however, the Genos has a 9-inch screen and the PA4X has a 7-inch. The PA4X has 1900 voices, whilst the Yamaha Genos has 1652.In terms of style, the PA4X has more than 550, whilst Yamaha incorporates 550. It will be much easier to get around and find useful sounds in a live situation on the FA. 4 Roland Fantom 7 vs Yamaha Montage 7 White. The variety of effects of the Genos is far superior as it has more than 534 effects, whilst the PA4X has 298. ![]() I think it was probably getting close to the incredible keybeds of the Fantom and Jupiter X. The newer keybed on the FA07 is quite nice. the Fantom looks much more pleasing to me than the Montage. I kept getting caught up on looks/aesthetics. might give Roland the edge on synth sounds. The ONLY reason I sold my FA is because it was a FA06 and the keybed was crap. As far as synth sounds - its pretty much a draw - Yamahas DX7, etc. It"s very good for layering with other sounds but not so much alone. It is not that easy to work with in a live, gigging situation where the FA07 or FA08 is great for live.Īlso, if you are doing any piano work, the Jupiter X RD piano is not that great for solo work. For me, the Jupiter X is a really fun, great sounding, fantastically solid built sound designer"s type keyboard. I think it really depends on what you want to do with this 'last' keyboard. When appropriate, users may be asked to resubmit their discussion topic with a more neutral tone.I have the Jupiter X and I used to own a FA06. The Montage's midi implementation seems terrible to me. You may just consider using their cloud product if you're looking for more sounds. OTOH, they are the only ones with virtually no sound editability (e.g. Theyre still too heavy to cart around for my taste, but lighter than Fantom/Montage/Kronos, and they have possibly the best action of all the boards mentioned. NO PRICE SHAMING - Some equipment doesn’t cost much, some costs a lot. Concerning the Fantom, you always have Roland's Zenology cloud products to work with in addition to the emulated instruments Jupiter, and Juno among others. Then Yamaha Live Set (and, I expect, Roland Fantom about the same), then Kurzweil, then Nord.
